West Middle School practiced kindness this week to celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day, February 17th. The counseling team set challenges every day to students built from our Character Strong SEL Character Dare curriculum. The RAK Counselor Character Dare challenges included writing a thank you note, and picking up a few pieces of trash about the building and property, changing negative thoughts to positive ones and doing something kind at home. It was great to see the student’s enthusiastic participation!

The 7th-grade Wildcat Reading students in Mrs. Bush’s room finished up the novel "The Outsiders" by dressing up as a Greaser or a Soc. We enjoyed our "drive-in" movie with vanilla shakes and bologna. IYKYK! The 8th graders voted on the best dressed, for the coolest prizes!
Mrs Bush is so rad.
